High Quality Japanese Samurai Sword NAGINATA T10 Steel Oil Quenched Full Tang Blade

This NAGINATA sword is handcrafted using traditional Japanese methods to create a flawless blade. The blade is forged from T10 steel and laminated in the Maru style. It undergoes oil quenching to achieve full hardness. The blade features an "Unokubi-Zukuri" shape with two Hi (grooves) on each side. One groove is longer and shallow, running from the habaki to the kissaki, while the other is shorter and deeper, extending from the habaki to the middle of the blade. This design not only contributes to a lighter blade and provides audible feedback during swings but also helps balance the blade for optimal performance. The blade is meticulously hand-polished using multiple grades of sharpening stones in the Japanese tradition, resulting in a mirror-like surface.

The naginata sword is equipped with a CHU-kissaki (medium-sized point). The finely finished square design alloy tsuba (guard) starts with a one-piece brass habaki. Two copper seppas (spacers) secure the blade in place. The fuchi (sleeve) and kashira (pommel) are made of alloy. The tsuka (handle) is constructed of hard wood, fitting over the tang of the blade and wrapped with black synthetic tsuka-ito (handle wrap) and genuine white ray skin samegawa (rayskin). Two bamboo mekugi (peg) secure the full tang of the blade. Well-crafted copper menuki (ornaments) adorn each side of the tsuka. The saya (sheath) is made of wood with a black matte finish. The black synthetic silk sage-o (cord) is tied around the bright copper kurigata (knob).
