This Japanese Wakizashi sword is a true masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship. The blade has been hand forged using folded Damascus steel, creating a stunning pattern of black and red hues that not only enhances the appearance but also helps prevent the blade from rusting.

The blade has undergone a meticulous 12-step polishing process, resulting in a smooth and mirror-like finish. It features a long hi (blood groove) on each side and a chu-kissaki (medium-length) tip, making it well-suited for iaido and kenjutsu practice.

The full tang construction, where the blade extends to the end of the handle, provides maximum durability and strength to the sword. The tang is secured by two bamboo mekugi (pegs), ensuring a solid and secure grip.

The tsuba (guard) is made of round iron, and the fuchi (sleeve) and kashira (buttcap) are also crafted from iron, adding to the sword's traditional aesthetic. The tsuka (handle) features a black lacquered genuine rayskin samegawa (ray skin) and a brown synthetic tsuka-ito (handle wrap), with two dragon design menuki (ornaments) adding a touch of elegance.

The saya (sheath) has been expertly constructed from hardwood, with a reddish-brown and black speckle finish. The sage-o (sword cord) is brown, wrapped over a bright copper kurigata (cord attachment).
