These are all European style sword guards above, as for Chinese swords and Japanese katana swords, the more practical it is, the smaller the sword guard (tsuba) is. The bronze swords almost have no guard in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States period. In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the guards are very simple, while hand guards in the Ming and Qing Dynasties were slightly larger.
