Customized Clay tempered 1095 Steel Katana Sword With Tiger Pattern

This is a customized katana sword for our US customer. The blade was made of 1095 high carbon steel and it has been clay tempered. Our customer requested this katana to have a oriental tiger engraving on the blade. So he sent us a tiger pictures. The katana has gold colored ito and sageo, and the tsuba(guard) was made of high quality brass with lion&tiger theme. This blade has no bohi, but it is very sharp. This is a battle ready and beautiful sword.

This was my very first katana that I had custom made from Hanbonforge and is still one of the best ones I think in my opinion. Unfortunately, I no longer own this sword and gave it away as a gift to a very special friend of mine who went to go serve in the U.S. Military overseas. He absolutely loves it and it does cut. I am thinking about buying another sword just like this one.
